David Matthews is a senior business development and relationship management executive with more than 20 years of experience helping businesses, investors, and professional partners achieve growth through strategic financing solutions and trusted advisory relationships. Throughout his career, he has built a strong reputation for expanding market presence and driving new business opportunities across Arizona and the Southwest.

Prior to joining Flatbay Capital, David held senior leadership and business development roles with several prominent financial institutions. He has successfully led commercial banking teams, cultivated referral networks, and worked closely with business owners, real estate professionals, and centers of influence to deliver customized lending and capital solutions.

David graduated from the University of Washington with degrees in Economics and Speech Communication and has remained active in both professional and community organizations throughout his career, including leadership involvement with RMA, JDRF, Easter Seals of Tucson, and the Arizona Bankers Association.
