Thomas (“Tom”) Hannaford brings more than 40 years of commercial lending experience serving businesses throughout Ohio and Michigan. Throughout his career, he has built long-standing relationships across the banking and business communities while helping companies navigate growth, transition, and complex financing situations.
Tom earned his undergraduate degree in Accounting and Finance from The Ohio State University and an MBA in Banking and Finance from Case Western Reserve University. He began his banking career at National Bank of Detroit, where he completed the bank’s highly regarded two-year Loan Officer Training Program before advancing into leadership roles managing commercial lending teams.
Over the course of his career, both individually and through the teams he has led, Tom has been involved in more than $2 billion in commercial debt financings. His experience spans traditional commercial banking leadership roles and alternative lending, including founding Central Funding Solutions and serving as Managing Director at Rain Star Capital Group.
Tom’s diverse background across conventional and alternative credit environments provides a practical perspective that allows him to quickly evaluate opportunities, understand borrower needs, and navigate complex situations.
Outside of work, Tom enjoys spending time with his five children and three grandchildren, golfing, and following Ohio State football and other sports.
